The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.
A great subject and so full of character and completely mad!
“One lump or two.”
In my imagination, the mad hatter is how I wanted him to look.
Everything larger than life.
An enormous bow around his neck.
Disappearing down one side of the mad hatters enormous bow is the white rabbit, all that is visible is his little white hindquarters below the bow hangs his watch.
On the other side of this neckwear, the dormouse peeps out with his little feet hanging underneath.
The Mad Hatter is a seemingly insane character that gives out riddles and dresses fashionably.
He has an obsession with tea time as well as tea parties.
Plenty of personality and character shines from his face enough to make anyone smile made you smile.
I sculpted him as I see him.
Leaning over a tabletop covered with a white tablecloth, lumps of sugar by his right hand, he seems to be asking “One lump or two ?”
While the Hatter is loud, eccentric, and insane like the rest of Wonderland’s residents, he is also rather charming.
He can be mild-mannered from time to time, I have chosen that attribute of his personality.
When dealing with visitors such as Alice. He tends to use terms such as “my dear”.
According to Hatter, he and the March Hare who is his closest friend never get compliments on their singing.\
Usually the only attendants at the various unbirthday parties, apparently making the duo outcasts in the realm of Wonderland.
At times exhibiting overbearing antics as well as the fact that with his close friend, more especially the Mad Hatter, his main flaw is he is a troublemaker; albeit innocently.
