Driftwood & ceramic-sculpture-Brothers
Two brothers. standing side by side with almost matching striped tops.
Both have a cheeky look and a similarity only brother have.
Obviously, they have a love for each other, and a shared interest in cricket.
The older brother is holding the bat in his hand.
The clothes are handpainted with acrylics on driftwood, I glaze each sculpture 6 times.
This sculpture is a wall hanging piece; hanging link on the back with a signature.
One-of-a-kind beach art.
Driftwood & ceramic-sculpture
Handmade driftwood art and natural wood sculpture can be great alternatives to a painting or a canvas on your wall.
Large or small driftwood wall art and driftwood art figures with ceramic heads.
Just one way I incorporate these beautiful creations of nature.I am always conscious of the natural shape of the piece.
I find, the worn detail of the wood eroded by the sea is almost art in itself.
The inherent feature is something I always retain in my finished sculpture.

I did try finding the driftwood myself on very occasional visits to the seaside; thinking it would be a doddle?
It proved to be impossible!
I live nowhere near the coast; therefore, in the end, the only way was to buy the driftwood by searching the internet.
Most came from our Jurassic coastline plus other UK locations; others from as far away as Canada and the USA.
whimsical and with humour, made from pieces of found driftwood by others.
In my case bought from other sources.
All the ceramic’s are handmade / hand-painted
